Education and Training is the required foundation course

Teaching 1 and Teaching 2 complete the pathway!

If you take child development and education and training your 11th or 12th grade year you can get college credit for CDH 100.  Minimum B Average


Familyi and Consumer Sciences Block 1  

Students in 1st block FACS classes will be tested on safe and appropriate Computer and Internet use Wednesday. Computer lab days are Wednesdays and Thursdays in D101.  Don't forget to bring in your signed parent letter, supplies and $20 fee.

Community Partnership with 1st Baptist Learning Center will be arranged.

Block 2

Community Partnership with 1st Baptist Learning Center will be arranged.

Block 3

Community Partnership with Brownwood Elementary or Caldwell Elementary will be arranged.

Block 4

The Tot'N'Teen Extended Day program will be your on-site lab. The lab is open 5 days per week.  We will be working out a rotation schedule for each of you. Fridays will be yours exclusively.






Welcome to Parenting Class.  This is a career technical course in the Human Services Career Cluster offered to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.  We will be focusing on the four key parenting responsibilies: including nurturing, protecting, teaching, and guiding children. Positive guidance techniques and other parenting practices will be highlighted as well as researching the various stages of child development and parenting readiness.  I hope you love children! The Tot'N'Teen extended day program will provide you with many learning experiences this term.  Our first day in the lab will be the 1st full week of school. Group 1 will report to the lab on Mondays and Wednesdays and Group 2 will report on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
