For home, you will need a dictionary and a thesaurus if you do not have access to a web-based dictionary. If Spanish is your primary language, I will provide you with a Spanish/English dictionary. You are expected to bring all of your materials to class every day. This includes your pens, pencils, and notebooks. Plan ahead and come to class prepared!
Creative Writing I & II: Each student should have black pens, red pen, pencils, a highlighter, loose-leaf paper (college-ruled), one-subject spiral notebook, and two folders with brads and pockets (one will be used during the first 9 weeks and the other during the second). For home, you will need a dictionary and a thesaurus if you do not have access to a web-based dictionary. You are expected to bring your materials to class every day. This includes your writing utensils and the folder which houses your current portfolio of work in progress . Plan ahead and come to class prepared!
Journalism: Each student should have a red felt-tip pen and access to a digital camera that has high resolution capabilities (300). Students will also need to bring a small, spiral notebook for their communication log for advertising sales. Black pens and pencils are also recommended. You are expected to bring all materials (including camera) to class every day.
